Five QUTE-members (Marc Brachet, Ionut Danaila, Luminita Danaila, Victor Kalt and Francky Luddens) are back from Singapore, where they participated in the Thematic Program (September 30, 2019 - March 31, 2020): Quantum and Kinetic Problems: Modeling, Analysis, Numerics and Applications, held at the Institute for Mathematical Sciences (IMS), National University of Singapore (NUS). It was a great event, full of interesting and exciting scientific and social discoveries. We are all grateful to the lead organizers, and in particular to Weizhu Bao for the invitation. We aknowledge IMS & NUS for the financial support provided for our participation in this program.

Welcome to our new colleagues who joined our QUTE group: Victor Kalt, as a PhD student (starting on October 01, 2019) and Eric Woillez, as Postdoctoral research fellow (starting in January, 2020).
Marc Brachet was awarded Emeritus DR (Senior Researcher) at CNRS, Ecole Normale Supérieure, Laboratoire de Physique Statistique. We are very happy and honoured to have Marc in our QUTE-HPC project.
The conference Universal features of hydrodynamical, optical and wave turbulence, Nice (September 9-12, 2019) celebrated the scientific career of Marc Brachet.
Ionut Danaila attended the 17th European Turbulence Conference”, Torino (September 3-6, 2019) where he presented new simulations of Quantum Turbulence based on the Gross-Pitaevskii model. The conference was a great opportunity to discuss with other scientists working in the area of superfluids and Quantum turbulence.
The yearly RMR (Rencontres Mathématiques de Rouen) will be held from June 19th to June 21th 2019 in Rouen and organized by the LMRS Numerical Methods and Applications Group. It was an intense week of scientific exchanges and discoveries of the nice city of Toronto and its surroundings. This post is a great opportunity to share some pictures.
