We wish a warm welcome to our new colleagues who joined our QUTE group: Victor Kalt, as a PhD student (starting on October 01, 2019) and Eric Woillez, as Postdoctoral research fellow (starting in January, 2020).

Victor Kalt earned his MSC degree in September 2019, from Université de Technologie de Troyes (UTT), with the speciality Nano-technologies, Nano-optics, Quantum Physics and Physics of the Solid State.

Victor will work on Quantum Turbulence in He4: modelling and HPC simulations, under the supervision of Ionut Danaila and Marc Brachet. He will be based in Rouen, LMRS.

Eric Woillez earned his PhD in Physics in September 2018, from ENS Lyon, Ecole doctorale de Physique et Astrophysique de Lyon. His PhD thesis Stochastic description of rare events for complex dynamics in the Solar System is available here.

Eric will work on Experimental Superfluid Turbulence, under the supervision of Philippe-Emmanuel Roche and Benoît Chabot. He will be based in Grenoble, Institut Néel.
